Oxbryta 300 mg Tablets for Oral Suspension for patients ages 4 years and older based on patient’s weight and ability to swallow tablets, which should first be mixed in a room temperature clear drink such as drinking water or clear soda before taking. Do not swallow whole, cut, crush, or chew the tablets for oral suspension.
Oxbryta 500 mg Tablets for ages 12 and up, as well as patients ages 4 to less than 12 who weigh 88 lbs (40 kg) or more*, which are swallowed whole. Do not cut, crush, or chew the tablets.
For pediatric patients 4 years and older, based on patient’s ability to swallow tablets and patient weight.
Before you get started, have the following ready:
Clear drink (For example: drinking water or clear soda)
Oxbryta 300 mg Tablets for Oral Suspension, which are light yellow, round shaped, and marked with “300 D” on one side

Visually inspect the pills to ensure it is the correct medication.
Be sure your hands are clean and dry, then pour room temperature clear drink in the cup. Use the table below as a guide for the minimum amount of liquid needed for the prescribed dose. You may add more clear drink if needed to mix the tablets.

Add the prescribed number of Oxbryta 300 mg Tablet(s) for Oral Suspension to the cup.
Do not swallow whole, cut, crush, or chew the tablets for oral suspension
Swirl the cup until the tablet(s) break down in the drink. Take care not to spill. The tablet(s) will not completely dissolve. You will still see small tablet clumps in the mixture.
If you spill any medicine, clean up the spill. Throw away the rest of the prepared medicine and start again
Wait for 1 to 5 minutes before taking or giving the dose.
Swirl the cup again. Take care not to spill. Drink immediately.
If giving to a child, make sure that the child is upright. Give all the prepared medicine to the child immediately
Add 1 or 2 more teaspoons of clear drink to the cup. This is to mix the leftover medicine and to make sure the full dose is taken. Swirl the cup until all the leftover medicine is mixed, and drink immediately. Repeat this step until all the medicine is taken.
After taking all the medicine, you may drink any type of drink
Be sure to wash the spoon and cup with warm water and soap

Swallow tablets whole once a day or exactly as your healthcare provider tells you.
